Terms & Conditions
Last Updated: 10 June 2026 · Effective Date: 10 June 2026
These terms govern use of our website and the watch repair services offered by Brasshour. Please read them before submitting an enquiry or leaving a watch in our care.
1. Definitions
"Brasshour" refers to the watch repair workshop operating at 57 Thanon Tha Phae, Si Phum, Chiang Mai 50200, Thailand.
"Service" refers to any watch repair, restoration, or assessment offered by Brasshour.
"Client" refers to any person who engages Brasshour for a service or submits an enquiry via this website.
"Agreement" refers to the written or verbal agreement between Brasshour and the Client regarding a specific service scope and price.
2. Acceptance
By submitting an enquiry through this website or leaving a watch with us for assessment, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, have the legal capacity to enter into an agreement, and accept these terms.
3. Services Offered
Brasshour offers three defined watch repair services:
- Crown & Gasket Renewal — replacement of worn crowns, stems, and gaskets with function check. Starting from ฿4,200.
- Dial & Hands Refresh — cleaning and selective refinishing of dials and hands. Starting from ฿16,800.
- Collector Restoration Package — end-to-end restoration including movement service, case work, and part sourcing. Starting from ฿32,900 (excluding parts costs agreed separately).
Services are available to clients in Thailand and, for courier-based enquiries, internationally subject to prior arrangement. We reserve the right to decline a service if a piece falls outside our technical scope.
4. Enquiries and Quotations
Submitting an enquiry through this website does not constitute a binding agreement. A service agreement is formed only when a written confirmation of scope and price has been exchanged between Brasshour and the Client, and the watch has been delivered into our care.
5. Service Scope and Changes
The scope of each service is agreed in writing before work begins. If an unforeseen condition is discovered during service that would require additional work or parts, we will contact the Client before proceeding. No additional work will be undertaken without written or explicit verbal consent.
6. Pricing and Payment
- Service prices are quoted in Thai Baht (฿) and are fixed at the point of agreement unless a scope change is agreed.
- Payment is due upon collection of the watch unless otherwise arranged in advance.
- Parts costs for the Collector Restoration Package are quoted and agreed separately before sourcing begins.
- We accept cash and bank transfer. Other payment methods are by arrangement.
- If a watch is not collected within 60 days of completion notice, a storage fee may apply at our discretion.
7. Client Responsibilities
The Client is responsible for:
- Providing accurate information about the watch's history, known issues, and any prior repairs
- Collecting the watch within a reasonable period after completion notice is given
- Arranging appropriate insurance for transit if a watch is shipped to or from the workshop
- Ensuring they have the right to authorise service on the watch submitted (i.e. it is not stolen or subject to a dispute)
8. Intellectual Property
All content on this website — text, images, layout, and design — is the property of Brasshour or its licensors. You may not reproduce or redistribute it without written permission.
9. Disclaimers
Brasshour provides services with reasonable skill and care, and all work is carried out to a professional standard. However, we cannot guarantee specific performance outcomes for every watch, particularly in the case of very old or previously damaged movements. We make no representations about the ongoing value or resale price of any watch following service.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by Thai law, Brasshour's liability for any claim arising from a service is limited to the price paid for that specific service. We are not liable for indirect losses, consequential damages, or loss of value attributable to factors outside our control. We are not liable for loss or damage arising from transit unless the watch was shipped under our specific arrangement and with our explicit acceptance of responsibility in writing.
11. Uncollected Watches
If a watch is not collected within 90 days of completion notice, and the Client has not responded to reasonable attempts at contact, Brasshour reserves the right to treat the watch as abandoned. We will take reasonable further steps before exercising this right, including written notice to the last known contact details.
12. Termination of Agreement
Either party may withdraw from a service agreement before work has begun, without penalty. If work is already in progress, the Client will be responsible for costs incurred up to the point of cancellation, to be assessed fairly and in proportion to work completed.
13. Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute, we encourage direct communication as the first step. If a resolution is not reached within 30 days, disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Chiang Mai Province, Thailand, under Thai law.
14. General
If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. These terms represent the entire understanding between Brasshour and the Client regarding services obtained through this website.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms periodically. The current version will always be available on this page with a revised date. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
